Terms of The Brand of The Year 2009The Steering Committee invites to participate in the Professional and Consumer Nominations the international brands existing on the territory of Belarus and domestic brands existing both within the country and abroad. Attention! Irrespective of whether the application form to participate in the Consumer Nomination has been submitted, brands named top on the national poll results can be elected the winners. Headquarters shall regulate the use of winner»s statuses as trade marks. The Professional Contest THE BRAND OF THE YEAR in the Consumer nomination determines winners on the basis of National Poll with sampling of 1,500,000 respondents. The research covers all regions of the country and is conducted in the form of face-to-face interview. All Contest participants are provided with the report on the National poll results. These data make allowance for consumers» age, sex, activities, region, income, education, family status social differentiation. Leading brands are selected with open-ended questions involving trade marks spontaneous recall. Commodity groups are accepted to the Contest under expert evaluations based on brand competitiveness within a group. Commodity groups included in the National Poll 2009 Determination of winners in the Professional nominationThe International Professional Jury, composed of experts from different countries, including Belarus, evaluates submitted brand-packages of the participating brands. Monitoring and audit of judging procedure is performed by The Supervisory Board composed of country most reputable persons. The International standards provide that awards can be granted only in case the participants have achieved a certain level of scores in proportion to the maximum possible — 100%.
Awards are given in each commodity group only if brands-participants have achieved the adequate professional level.
